The position We are starting on a journey to build solutions that can assist the laboratory in performing Quality Control in Novo Nordisk Emerging Technologies (ET). ET is expanding rapidly in this area and to cope with the increase in demand, we need to optimize and automate our laboratory processes! Therefore, Team Innovation is searching for following competencies: Identify (in collaboration with our skilled laboratory technicians) the process that is ready for automation and can make an impact on productivity or work environment. Identify the User Requirements Specification (URS) in collaboration with the laboratory technicians. Design the solution (We use Fusion360) Present it to the user as a concept (We use HoloLens to visualize solutions) Build the solution or a prototype of the solution
Implement the solution and teach the end user how to use it. You will work within all these processes, however most work will be on designing and building our solutions. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have: A relevant education within mechanical engineering or similar 5+ years’ experience with mechanical engineering and building automation Experience working with CAD (we use Fusion360) Great communication and stakeholder management skills when it comes to creating and facilitating networks Strong understanding of designing the mechanical part of the solution Natural passion for doing things smarter and better Full professional proficiency in English As a person, you are open minded and eager to see new possibilities within our area together with that you also speak your mind with ease. Managing a large network of people is something you are driven to. Your calm, innovative and goal-oriented thinking will help succeed in this role. About the department Emerging Technologies MDEV & QC is a new area within Novo Nordisk where the oral portfolio plays a significant role. We are approximately 200 employees, and we are growing. We work with quality control and compliance of the facilities, the equipment, QC lab, manufacturing development as well the release of tablets for the market. We are proud to work in a fast-growing part of Novo Nordisk. As part of Novo Nordisk, we aim to make a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop and manufacture all oral drug products late phase as well as for launch ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. Our ambition is to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of GLP-1 and other molecules.

- Build the machine. We are working on making an innovation lab for construction of machines and prototypes using cooperative robots, 3d printers, laser cutters and CNC machines.
