We are looking for an Associate Manager for our newly established QC department for chemical Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). The Position Your team will be built in the coming months, and you will be a close partner in defining which competencies are required and which future processes we need. The main tasks will be to:
  • Establish processes, roles & responsibilities
  • Shape future collaboration with stakeholders
  • Work cross-organizationally within Novo Nordisk
  • Work with external stakeholders, including Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and acquired companies.
    • The forthcoming team will consist of subject matter experts and will primarily work as a remote support function to the actual QC laboratory. The team will be responsible for owning and maintaining regulatory analytical documentation, method transfers, maintenance of analytical methods, and providing scientific/procedural support to CMO laboratories or other stakeholders. The position will require travel due to the international location of many CMOs. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you:
  • Hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Possess people management experience
  • Have pharmaceutical industry experience with regulatory requirements, GMP, and ideally QC
  • Preferably have experience in working with contract manufacturing and contract research organisations
  • Are fluent in English
    • You have a pioneer spirit and excel in build-up phases, where you, despite of a lot of unknowns and changes, succeed in keeping your team engaged and with a clear direction. You balance leadership and management, communicate well, and work effectively with stakeholders. You think cross-functionally and find the best solutions for the business. You are independent, take initiative, and challenge current practices. About the Department Emerging Technologies (ET) API QC is a brand-new department under construction. We are not a traditional QC laboratory, as the chemical APIs we are responsible for, in most cases are produced and analysed at a CMO. The main tasks of the department are supporting the CMOs in analytical matters, ownership and life cycle management of analytical methods and validations for the respective chemical API. In the future, we might establish a physical QC laboratory for chemical APIs. ET API QC is part of Drug Product Manufacturing Development & Quality Control (DP MDev & QC) and organized in the SVP area Emerging Technologies (ET). We have a growing pipeline of new products, many of which are based on emerging technology platforms coming in via internal development projects and externally acquired assets.
