The position As Director for CMC Late Phase Oral Analytical Development, you will b e responsible for three dedicated teams consisting of more than 50 employees in Måløv, Denmark. The Department is responsible for developing the analytical methods, validation, and testing of all analyses in Phase 3 supporting the oral pipeline in Novo Nordisk. Your key stakeholders will be the Early Phase Oral Analytical Development area, and the other Analytical Development Departments in the CVP area DP & Analytical Development. Since the oral pipeline is dynamic and in constant development, prioritization, and willingness to adapt to changes and new priorities are key to success. You will report to the Corporate Vice President of DP & Analytical Development and can look forward to being part of a well-established management group where empowerment, teamwork and a can-do approach are dominant values. Qualifications We are looking for a director who has a higher scientific education in a relevant field such as life sciences, economics, public health science, or a similar discipline is essential as well as experience in leadership from the pharmaceutical industry. To succeed in this role, you: Are a strong leader demonstrating empathy, compassion, and authenticity in your day-to-day leadership, leading other leaders at department manager level Have substantial experience in leading a big team preferable within Analyses, Drug Product or other CMC disciplines for a minimum of 5 years Have a high degree of business and industry insight, and a solid experience in setting the direction and developing and driving the strategy for your area Have a passion for driving performance and managing a high level of complexity in a large area Are an excellent communicator and fluent in English As a person, you are ambitious and have a strong strategic mindset. About the department The Department is part of the CVP area Drug Product & Analytical Development which is anchored in the CMC Development & Scaling area – a part of Product Supply, Quality and IT organisation. CMC Development is the link between Global Research Technologies (GRT) and Product Supply (PS). We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and develop commercial manufacturing processes and technologies with consistent scientific documentation for drug approval. In Late Phase Oral Analytical Development, we are responsible for development and validation of analytical methods for clinical phase 3 trials and for release to the market, for analytical support and for QC release of oral products for clinical trials (Phase 3).
