Foodjob Nordic is now looking for an experienced Application Specialist to join Fertin Pharma A/S in Vejle. The Application Specialist will be part of a professional organization with more than 100 years of experience in innovation, product development and production of confectionery products, dietary supplements, and medicines – including leading products with nicotine. The overall objective will be to develop new applications and build expert knowledge on the use of a range of active ingredients solutions. The Application Specialist will be responsible for the development of products within oral products throughout the development chain – from idea to the first formulation work in the development laboratory to full-scale process commissioning in this very lean and flat organization with a high level of entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities and goals:
The Application Specialist is responsible for driving innovation across potential new segments and creating new end-application solutions with a confident and collaborative team approach. The position will set a high standard of knowledge on the application of active ingredients and interact strongly with Technical Support, Production, and Sales. The Application Specialist actively supports, that strong partnerships are formed and maintained by the Sales team and is also an excellent team player within the organization. Important focus points are:

  • Developing innovative ingredient solutions for end-applications by contributing with new ideas and technology
  • Ensure a complete understanding of existing and new technologies through contact to experts, colleagues and customers including regional and global technology reviews and training
  • Technical support of the commercial team and setup of trials/pilots/samples
  • Responsibility for the hands-on development of solutions with focus on product stability, homogeneity, release of active substances and the process technology needed for the solutions

Qualifications:

  • Educated at Degree level within in Food Technology, Food Science or comparable qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience from innovation and research in the food/pharma industry or an ingredient supplier
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with exceptional business acumen and a strong sense for value
  • Outstanding networking and cooperation skills including experience in collaboration with partners, experts, suppliers and stakeholders in a Global perspective
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude with high levels of energy and drive to achieve targets
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully motivate a team
  • Self-starting with excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English and preferably in a Scandinavian language

  • Based in the Central Region, Denmark. Attractive salary package + pension + benefits
