Technical Specialist - Residential Heating
Are you an experienced technician/engineer within residential heating systems? Are you ready to take on a leading role in cost-down activities? Then we might have the perfect match for you at Danfoss in Silkeborg!
The Job
Danfoss Residential Heating is looking for a Technical Engineer to strengthen their mechanical radiator thermostat business. In this position you will primarily be optimizing their product offerings by cost down activities, therefore you need to have a strong technical insight into heating systems and the dynamics in the applications. Together with the team it will be your main goal to make sure that Danfoss keeps being perceived as premium brand.
Your responsibilities will be;
The candidate
To be considered for this position you need to be an authorized HVAC Installer / HVAC Technician and have +4 years of experience. Alternatively, you hold a bachelor’s degree within mechanical/marine engineering with practical flair and solid understanding of heating systems. Also, financial experience is an advantage for this position.
Other than this, we see the right person as someone with these criteria’s;
There will be some travel activities in this position ~ 10 days/year. You will be reporting directly to the product management director.

Your responsibilities will be;
- Be the main driver in cost down activities for the product categories to secure:
- all categories are covered
- all relevant cost down lenses and approaches are used
- sufficient pipeline of ideas to achieve yearly targets
- cost down initiatives are implemented effectively
- execution of defined cost down activities as product management representative
- Drive the complexity reduction agenda and continuously monitor sales development and optimize portfolio in that regard
- Technical support in relation to the mechanical TRV products and accessories and how they interact in applications towards Danfoss sales companies and customers
- Complaint handling and related communication with Danfoss sales companies in different countries and the R&D team
The candidate

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
