Foodjob Nordic is looking for a strong commercial professional for an attractive Export Director role. Our client is VikingGenetics in Assentoft near Randers in Denmark. We are looking for an outstanding commercial leader with the right toolbox, impact and strong agricultural value chain understanding from field to market to help VikingGenetics put in even more focus on priorities and utilize the resources. VikingGenetics is a market leading, innovative company providing bovine genetic products and solutions for progressive dairy and beef producers around the World. Through innovative genetic solutions, VikingGenetics bring superior value to cattle farmers, and VikingGenetics is known as a Leading Global cattle breeding cooperative with the World's Best Genetics.
The Export Director reports to the CEO and is responsible for the development of a range of commercial market approaches, and lead across market teams to deliver on agreed targets of profitable growth. To be successful in this new role, the Export Director must utilize experience and network to understand the challenges facing cattle farming and genetics, selecting the right markets and approaches based on knowledge and insights. The Export Director works in a result oriented and structured manner securing the implementation of the below priorities:

The Export Director would ideally have a degree or similar education in Agriculture and/or Business, providing the relevant business, communication, and strategic thinking required for the post. Position profile:
- Optimize the performance and efficiency of the distribution channels through distributors and direct clients
- Manage and develop the Export sales by leading and develop a team of a Head of Distributor Sales and a team of Country Managers across global markets
- Strongly administrative sales and leadership skills with focus on setting individual sales targets and ensure structured follow up and transparency in the sales organization
- Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team, building best practices, toolboxes and alignment
- Attend meetings with the distributors and business partners in export markets
- Position VikingGenetics as a credible long-term partner
Result expectations(KPI’s):
- Increase revenues and add sales volumes to drive profitable growth
- Improve the daily corporation between Sales, Operations and R&D departments and ensure transparency
- Execute the strategy plan in agreement with the Market Boards

The responsibility of the Export Director will include:
- Responsible for identifying and qualifying market opportunities according with the strategy
- Responsible for sales growth in distributor markets
- Toolbox and go-to-market strategies that ensures that we understand and differentiate markets
- Develop sales pipeline with export managers to support sales goals
- Follows lead process (tradeshows, inbound leads, marketing campaigns)
- Uncover potential and gaps in the market and positioning towards competition
- Leverage internal resources to create solution or value proposition
- Together with export managers, work with existing accounts to identify opportunities
- Overnight travel is approximately 10% depending on business conditions
Qualifications:
The Export Director would ideally have a degree or similar education in Agriculture and/or Business, providing the relevant business, communication, and strategic thinking required for the post. Other points regarding the ideal candidate profile:
- Many years’ management experience in consultative, solution selling experience with a demonstrated ability to work well in an inter-cultural environment within agriculture and/or animal breeding
- Sufficient background or understanding of issues relating to agriculture and/or animal breeding
- Well-organized with excellent administrative skills with demonstrated consultative sales skills and experience
- Strong listening, verbal, and written communication/presentation skills
- Prominent social skills and ability to handle cultural differences, internally and externally.
- Excellent rapport building, networking and relationship management experience
- Ability to facilitate, maintain and manage good working relationships between staff and partners.
- Ability to provide strategic leadership and management, ensuring that the vision is not lost in the daily operations of the organization.
- Set clear priorities between competing demands for resources and manage own tasks and priorities effectively and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to review and analyze budgets and financial reports to see implications in the implementation and management of the projects.
- Ability to cope with difficult and/or urgent situations requiring immediate decisions.
- Totally fluent in spoken and written English, our corporate language. Further language skills will be highly appreciated.
- Experience with CRM system, Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint.

- Location will be at VikingGenetics office in Assentoft, Central Denmark
