Do you have experience in construction safety and working on large construction projects? Have you worked with systems and ISO standards in a large matrix organization? Our Fill & Finish Expansions team at Novo Nordisk is seeking a Health & Safety Senior Manager to join our team. The Position
As a Senior Manager Health & Safety at Novo Nordisk you will oversee and lead health and safety initiatives within the FFEx programme across all construction projects and in central tech modules and design. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, engineering firms and their subcontractors to integrate health and safety requirements into design, project planning and project execution.
• Leading incident investigations, analyzing root causes, and developing corrective and preventive action plans to mitigate future risks.
• Providing guidance and support to project teams on health and safety matters, including training, coaching, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to stay abreast of health and safety developments and best practices.
• Preparing and presenting health and safety reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance health and safety performance, including the implementation of new technologies, tools, and processes. Your workplace will be based in Lyngby, Denmark, but as there is collaboration required on a global scale with our sites, some international travel will be required. It is estimated that this will 15-20% of the time. Qualifications
As an ideal candidate, we expect you to have:
• 8+ years of experience in health and safety management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of implementing and managing successful health and safety programs.
• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification in construction health and safety is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of global health and safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to construction projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and emergency response planning.
• Proficiency in developing and delivering health and safety training programs. The job requires a very high degree of cross functional collaboration and management skills. The successful candidate should have the ability to drive cultural change and foster a safety-first mindset within an organization.
