Description:

• Performs commissioning tasks as required by the contract scope of work.• Reports to the Commissioning Manager.

Formal Education: University, Trade School or Equivalent, good spoken and written English

Industry Experience: Minimum 2 Years.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Possess and apply hands-on mechanical skills.• Proficiency with multimeter and signal generators.• Proficiency with hand tools.• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.• Perform Hardware Factory Acceptance Tests (HFAT).• Proficient in wiring instruments and control panels.• Assist in project installation, start-up and commissioning.• Perform loop checks.• Perform instrument calibrations.• Perform sequence testing and operations of control systems undergoing commissioning.• Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation cut sheets.• Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools.• Experience in SCADA, PLC, and Human-Machine Interface applications.• Experience in using a PC, iPad.

Quality Control Responsibilities:

• Understand and adhere to the project’s quality specifications for installation and commissioning.• Ensure project procedures are followed with respect to commissioning activities.• Accurately document work performed.• Redline project documentation for As-Built purposes.• Work safely, never endangering self, others or property.• Follow all project safety procedures.• Know how and when to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Design Responsibilities:

• Understand the basics of control system design.• Understand the basics of instrumentation.• Understand the basics of mechanical and electrical system design.• Understand the basics of network infrastructure as it relates to control system integration.

Customer & Project Management Responsibilities:

• Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers and team members.• Communicate and relay accurate information to the Commissioning Lead.• Complete assigned tasks accurately, and on-schedule.

Mentoring and Training Responsibilities:

• Actively seek knowledge from senior staff members.• Maintain open and direct communication with senior staff members.• Be motivated to learn, proactive, and be an effective part of the team.• Maintain professional relations with co-workers, offer assistance to co-workers when possible, ask for help and guidance from co- workers when necessary, and always treat co-workers withrespect.
