A part-time position as Academic Manager for the EU-twinning project NetMAR at the Centre for Medieval Literature (CML) at The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is available from April 1. The position is for 15 hours per week for the duration of the grant (ends 31.12.23).
NetMAR is a research network project in Byzantine studies involving three partners: University of Cyprus (lead), University of Bamberg and SDU.
The Academic Manager will take care of the daily administration of the SDU part of the project in coordination with the managers at the other two universities. More specifically the manager should facilitate knowledge and capacity transfer from CML to the lead partner in Cyprus, with main tasks such as running an interdisciplinary and international research environment in medieval studies, in publishing an international OA journal and more. The manager will work closely with the head of CML at SDU.
An MA or a PhD in Byzantine studies is an advantage, as is excellent academic English and proficiency in at least one other major research language of Byzantine studies.
The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
