We are searching for a CAD Solutions Manager for our Autodesk platform to help us design applications work together, scope atomization and train our users.
The Design & Visualization team
Ensures that designers, architects, and visualizers at HQ, factories and local subsidiaries around the world have state of the art hardware, software, 3D props and training. The team currently consists of 4 highly professional people, a 3D specialist, an architectural visualizer, a 3D art director and a CAD Solutions Manager.
The CAD Solutions Manager makes sure that our design applications of the entire company are integrated and support our business. The central application is AutoCAD, and other systems include Rhino, Grasshopper, Autodesk 3ds Max with V-ray rendering. The key users are landscape architects in all Kompan subsidiaries around the world as well as product designers at Headquarters.

Our Kompan colleagues were not developed overnight. We provide training and mentoring to get your head around this role. There already is an experienced colleague in the role whom you can learn from growing into the role, and several experts around you, e.g. two 3ds Max specialists. Therefore, we are looking for a talent who will go on the journey together with the team.

The main tasks include:
- Ensure integration and workflow between AutoCAD, 3ds Max and other applications to create simple processes for our product designers, architects and visualizers
- Design and scope the programming of AutoCAD and 3ds Max routines that serves as automation
- On top of this, help analyse, scope, and implement parametric design in the Design team
- Systemize the 3D files of the company’s products, other 3D props, etc.
- Train architects, product designers, etc. virtually and onsite in using the company 3D workflow
- Supporting users virtually
As a person you contribute with:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and able to scope programming in .net, VBA (or similar) is key
- Knowledge of especially 3ds Max, but also 3ds Max programming, Rhino and Grasshopper is preferred
- Knowledge of parametric design and other design software, e.g. Autodesk Inventor
- Highly structured and organized in managing the vast amounts of files
- Proficient in English and able to travel to our subsidiaries around the world approx. 25 days per year in average.
- Strong system analytic skills and understanding of value chains in the business
- Likeable, team player, ability to make user guides and conduct training of CAD users
