The Position As the Director of Legal, Compliance and Quality, you will act as a business-minded and highly engaged member of the Danish Affiliate Leadership Team, role modelling business ethics and quality mindset. You will develop and lead the legal, compliance and quality team in the Danish affiliate, set direction and be a trusted sparring partner to the Leadership Team and other affiliate stakeholders. In this role you will report to the General Manager of Novo Nordisk Denmark, with a dotted function line to the VP of Legal, Compliance & Quality, region North West Europe . Your main responsibilities include:
  • To have the overall responsibility for legal, compliance and quality matters in the affiliate.
  • In collaboration with the team – consisting of three colleagues – managing all legal, compliance and quality matters in compliance with internal and external requirements, including pharma law, competition law, GDPR, business ethics and contracts.
  • To be the Data Privacy Responsible and being responsible for maintaining the company’s overview of business activities involving personal data.
  • To own the contract management process and be responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial and clinical contracts.
  • Together with commercial colleagues, to drive strategic external projects and collaborations, including interactions with the Danish Industry Association.
  • Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
  • Have a Danish law degree.
  • Have 8+ years of experience and knowledge of the Danish legislation and legal system, preferably in the pharma industry.
  • Have strong business partnering- and communication skills, a genuine interest in leading others and a curiosity to understand the business.
  • Have strong knowledge of rules and regulations related to personal data protection (GDPR).
  • Have solid experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Being fluent in both Danish and English.
  • Be agile as the team is small and have a structured and analytical approach to your responsibilities, as well as a proven ability to manage complex tasks individually.
