The finance department, called Business Information, in Novo Nordisk Denmark is now looking for an engaged and driven Business Finance Manager. The Position We are looking for a person with a passion for partnering across organisational functions, cost management, performance reporting and generating actionable insights for the organisation. The position offers great opportunities for functional and personal development while being part of a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry. Your tasks will be:
  • Driving business decisions by translating financial data into business insights.
  • Responsible for financial controlling and reporting, budgeting as well as partnering with line of business around cost management and investment prioritisation.
  • Managing internal monthly reporting, including monthly budget follow up with line of business.
  • Controlling the financial planning data, strong understanding of links between the data sources and data output in SAP BW, BI tools, and reports.
  • Preparing and presenting financial analyses to the affiliate Management Team.
  • Furthermore, you will act as a dedicated finance partner to the Clinical, Medical, and Regulatory organisation and in particular to the Clinical Development Centre Denmark (CDC), where you will be a key contributor towards streamlining and optimising the organisational and controlling set-up for the CDC. You will be responsible for preparing the material for analytical decisions, identifying gaps as well as challenge the organisation to drive strong resource allocation across the business.
    Qualifications To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following:
  • Relevant master's degree (i.e., in finance or economics) with excellent results.
  • Outstanding analytical and coordinating skills combined with a strong Microsoft Excel expertise and a structured result-oriented approach to your tasks.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and possess strong commercial acumen.
  • Being a valued business partner, and you take pride in noticing details and always taking your analysis one step further to support the business.
  • Being pro-active, high performing, business minded, and interested in initiating and driving projects that will positively impact our business.
  • In addition, you will have a thorough stakeholder management approach, consistent cross-functional collaboration, system expertise, sharp analyses, and ability to influence stakeholders will be your keys to success in this position. You are fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages (written and spoken) will be an advantage, but not a requirement. Experience with business intelligence systems (e.g., SAP BW, PowerBI) is an advantage. About the Department The finance team, Business Information, is part of the Finance and Operations department in Novo Nordisk Denmark, based in Ørestaden, Copenhagen. The finance team is supporting the Danish and Icelandic sales affiliates with finance partnering incl. budgeting and sales and cost performance reporting, in-depth market analysis and supply chain. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust.
