As our Freight Forwarder, you will be part of our new distribution center in Padborg, where the sealing is high, and you have great opportunities to get a lot of competent feedback from both managers and co-workers. You will become a part of a brand-new team consisting of five dedicated employees. The knowledge within the team is wide as the employees bring in knowledge from Freight Forwarders, supply chain and customs. When entering the team, you experience a good vibe amongst everyone, and the entire team is already looking forward to meeting you.
At the moment, Hummel is on a very exciting growth where we currently are in the process of building a brand-new fully automate robot stuck in Padborg. We call it: Hummel Distribution Center. As our Freight Forwarder you are the natural link between sales, stock, and our customers. As a result, your task will primary be to handle orders and bookings from the different Hummel Key Accounts, including Deichmann og Zalando. Your work assignments will include offer collecting, documentation, notification, and execution of shippings.
Furthermore, as our Freight Forwarder you will among other things:
As a person it is your goal to coordinate cross-disciplinary tasks by using your high speed. You are the one who always see the big picture in all processes in delivering the shippings. Independently you take responsibility in diverse coordinating assignments and are used to keep track of everything, even though you have many assignments at the same time.
We imagine that you bring in a background from within shipping or freight forwarding as well as experience from a forwarding- or trade company. It is important that you prefer to work in a large international organization with a lot of different stakeholders.

We are currently in the process of establishing our new distribution center in Padborg, our Hummel Distribution Center. In the future, we will have approximately 140 employees in the administration and the stock. You will have your daily work at the distribution center. However, your contact surface within the organization will be large as you are in contact with the headquarter in Aarhus, our other stocks and freight forwarding.

Tasks and work area
At the moment, Hummel is on a very exciting growth where we currently are in the process of building a brand-new fully automate robot stuck in Padborg. We call it: Hummel Distribution Center. As our Freight Forwarder you are the natural link between sales, stock, and our customers. As a result, your task will primary be to handle orders and bookings from the different Hummel Key Accounts, including Deichmann og Zalando. Your work assignments will include offer collecting, documentation, notification, and execution of shippings.
Furthermore, as our Freight Forwarder you will among other things:
- Have contact to internal departments in Hummel (sales and our Business Units: Sport, Kids and Style)
- Coordinate in close collaboration with product suppliers and other stakeholders within the process
- Have contact to and coordinate with carriers
- Coordinate and book shipping to our Key Accounts
- Draw up certificate of origin (COO) as well as documents to the different freights
- Draw up dangerous goods documents or a Carnet and other relevant documents
- Continuous shipment follow-up and contact to the Key Accounts regarding changes
- Participate in ad hoc assignments within the logistic department, as well as taking part in developing and preparing processes and procedures within the area
Being professional is all you do

We imagine that you bring in a background from within shipping or freight forwarding as well as experience from a forwarding- or trade company. It is important that you prefer to work in a large international organization with a lot of different stakeholders.
Furthermore, we expect you to:
- Have several years of experience from within logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain
- Have experience with non-EU trading as well as their export
- Basic knowledge in how to use different booking portals
- Having experience with Key Accounts is a plus
- Have good IT and system understanding and are an Excel super user
- Like to work with administrative assignments, are responsible for your tasks, devoted to your job and the organization you work in, and likes to work in structured and interdependent manners
- Have good communication skills, master Danish and English fluently in both written and spoken. Moreover, it is a plus if you can speak and write in German
