TQA with Vestas EnVentus experience for Australia
The Company
Vento Energy Support works worldwide with “on site” installation projects and service tasks, on various wind turbines of the latest generation. We mainly work for the wind turbine manufactures on site.
We deliver high quality, flexibility, and good behavior on all levels in our business. It makes us one of the preferred suppliers for OEM’s.
The Role
The Technical & Quality Advisor role consist in supporting the construction site with all relevant technical and quality knowledge. The TQA is a resource that support technical and quality process of turbine construction from foundation to hand over. The TQA technician must have a good understanding of installation manual and VESTAS procedures including lifting, rigging, and commissioning.
Essentiel Skills:
- Extensive experience, service minded and willing to learn others.
- Craneage/heavy lifting experience including understanding of lift studies and planning and executing works methodologies (for mobile cranes).
- Technical diploma, degree or relevant qualification related to engineering, construction or similar.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement and quality methodology skills.
- Advanced IT skills, e.g. MS Office, MS Project user or key user
- Valid driver's license, passport, and ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
- Fluent English skills
- Mandatory courses and training:
- Vestas installation Level C, D
- Full GWO training
- Safety and Quality Training
- Proven experience of supervision/leadership on EnVentus turbines
- Proven working experience in construction management.

Key Accountabilities
- Support the WTG handover folders ensuring all SIF’s and QA docs for the relevant WTG model are included in the contents
- Comply with legal requirements, construction and safety codes, and other regulations
- Responsible for as-built documentation
- Ensure project documents are complete
- Maintaining quality control procedures
- Participate in NCR’s creation and coordination in
- SAP
- Site Pro
- Maintain tracker, parts etc
- Including marine surveyors report
- Spare parts referencing the BOM
Position Activities
- Implement and manage all safety practices and protocols within Vestas’s organizational standards to ensure compliance and optimal safety results with a team that demonstrates safe behaviors.
- Achieves a culture of excellence (safety focus, structure, work discipline) and continuous improvement with the site organization to advance capability and performance in all operational areas.
- Participate in learning, findings in daily pre-start (e.g., Damages, issues, delays etc.)
- Support the preparation / monitoring and maintain as built progress trackers (Site pro etc.)
- Participate SMC/SMI on solutions to issues regarding QSE.
- Coordinate/Plan and schedule joint walkdowns inspections
- Prepare punch list.
- Support preparation of MCC certificates.
- Participate in creation of handover package for service/client.
- Support contractors with technical information on Vestas documentation, installation manual etc.
- Support SMC, SMI, SSI with technical information on Vestas documentation, installation manual etc.
- Liaise commissioning and installation.
- Assist with CIM cases
- Support VESTAS safety initiatives and promote a good culture on site.
Decisions, advice, recommendations etc. the position has authority to carry out:
- Daily supervision and progressing of installation activities performed by external resources ensuring the fulfillment of project execution (health, safety, quality, and time) and contractual obligations by subcontractor
- Expenditure on supplies to authority levels.
