Areas of responsibility
We are looking for an estimator with strong commercial knowledge and the ability to provide sound estimates to the bid management team. Together with the project team you will be responsible for managing and preparing tenders from first estimate principles. This is an important role where your efforts will make a real difference and be valued.
Your primary tasks will be
To be successful in this role
Ideally you have experience working for a contractor on large-scale construction projects, good technical construction knowledge combined with minimum 10 years’ experience as an estimator. We expect you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build reports and produce final tender documents. You possess good understanding of buildability, design, planning, commercial management and strong negotiation skills.
Wide experience with Office 365 including Excel. Experience in using specialist estimating software such as Sigma and Revit / IFC would be preferable.

- Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements
- Visit sites and other venues necessary to do the estimate
- Perform complex analysis of collected data and metrics
- Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts
- Conduct complex risk analysis activities
- Assisting the QS team when required
- Bringing innovation and value engineering to tenders.
