The job:
We are looking for a new Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team based at our production site in Roskilde, Denmark.
As our new Material Planner, you will schedule and monitor movement of material through the
production cycle. You will also be responsible for determining material requirements from engineering
and production schedules, coordinating the efficient movement of materials with purchasing,
production and engineering and developing specifications for new contract orders.
What will you do?
• Timely ordering of raw materials and purchased components
• Handling of complaints on raw materials and purchased components
• Inform production schedules of delivery dates.
• Participate in customer audits
• Assure material availability at site
• Manage inventory levels by defining clear max inventory levels and manage to those
• First level of escalation and management of supply component interruptions
• Issuance of releases/call offs (not negotiate price, payment terms and change/select suppliers)
• Responsible to plan material ramp/up and ramp-down
• Manage the implementation date of engineering changes based on stocking
Who we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
• Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain
• Strong understanding of concepts of inventory management and distribution planning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and fluency in Danish and English
• Good problem solving and reasoning skills to effectively deal with problems varying in complexity relative to job level.
• Demonstrated expertise in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including all relevant planning parameters such as inventory controls, replenishment, warehouse management and procurement functionality in ERP
