With direct reference to our Vice President Quality & Sustainability, you will be part of a strong professional department of 18 employees, who alongside Sustainability work within the field of quality, metrology and calibration. More specifically, you will be part of a team of 7 highly dedicated specialists who all have a global cross functional role where the overall objective of the team is to define and drive the implementation of Kamstrup’s Quality & Sustainability Strategy and related initiatives.
A job with focus on continually improving and reducing Kamstrup’s environmental footprint
In the position as Environmental Sustainability Specialist you will be overall responsible for environmental sustainability improvements across Kamstrup. You will act as our internal Environmental Sustainability Specialist towards the business regarding environmental management and improvements. You must ensure that environmental issues are considered from the earliest stages of engineering design, through procurement of components, production and eventually installation, use and end of life. Together with our Sustainability Specialist you will be responsible for aligning and translating Kamstrup’s overall environmental sustainability strategy roadmaps into the individual business area and functional strategies.
More specifically you will be responsible for:
Personality matters
You hold a Master’s degree in environmental management/engineering or similar. It is not a requirement that you have experience from a similar position, but you need to possess a solid understanding of environmental rules and regulations within the electronic industry. In addition, knowledge of ISO 14001 is required and it will be considered a benefit if you have experience in implementing a ISO 14001 Management System Framework.
As a person you are analytical and work systematically and structured with your tasks. You are able to work in a complex international organisation, and your excellent communication skills enable you to navigate with many stakeholders, deadlines and timelines. You consider yourself as being a self-starter with a strong drive, and you have the ability to move and change things.
The job requires fluency in written and spoken English and Danish.

Together with our Sustainability Specialist you will be responsible for aligning and translating Kamstrup’s overall environmental sustainability strategy roadmaps into the individual business area and functional strategies.
More specifically you will be responsible for:
- Our multisite ISO 14001 certification in close cooperation with our other four certification specialists
- Ensuring an efficient and robust global legal compliance setup and governance for areas such as WEEE, SCIP, Battery, Dangerous Goods, Packaging, Conflict Minerals, EU REACH, EU RoHS, China RoHS, California Prop 65 etc.
- Continually reviewing environmental aspects and trends and conducting environmental risk assessments including feasibility studies
- Project managing our Sustainability roadmap for continually improving our internal environmental footprint
- Performing Product Life Cycle Assessments and EPD’s and utilizing this knowledge to improve the footprint of our products and solutions
- Providing environmental support and expert advice both internally as well as towards our customers during tenders etc.
- Develop and maintain relevant internal environmental training programs
- Handling data collection (Consumption data, GHG etc), processing and reporting together with our Sustainability Specialist according to recognized standards and protocols (UN Global Compact, GHG protocol etc.)
