Become PT Manager in the Water meter factory in Supply Chain

With the ambition to strengthen our Manufacturing Technology area in the Water meter business, we are now looking to extend our organisation with a Department Manager. With direct reference to the Factory Manager, Water meters, you will be part of the management team in the Water meter factory. Your department is responsible for identifying new opportunities, evaluating new products, securing production documentation for high quality products, and ensuring the operation of the production. Your department consist of engineers, technicians and assistants who are collaborating closely across the manufacturing function within Kamstrup as well as project managers, product specialists and the quality department. Furthermore, we are expanding rapidly in US, and therefore you will to some extend be involved in supporting the American production team with key insights and sparring.

A job with focus on production technical challenges and team development
As PT Manager, you will be balancing daily operation with long term perspectives, within the technical production area. You will have the overall strategical responsibility for sustaining and increasing the uptime of equipment in the factory and ensuring a good delivery performance and thereby making sure, that the production operators have the best possible opportunities to deliver good results. Furthermore, it is a key aspect of the role to carry out the managerial responsibility by leading and developing a strong team by performing one-on-one conversations, ongoing development dialogues and daily management.

More specifically your tasks will be to:

  • Review and set quality targets of production equipment to secure a stable uptime
  • Evaluate and enable production capacity for actual and future needs
  • Analyse and scope optimization projects to improve productivity by using a cost down perspective
  • Secure continuous improvement of equipment and processes to strengthen capability in production processes
  • Overview and support implementation of new equipment and processes
  • Review methods, processes and procedures to ensure they are best practise and optimized to support the production
  • Set the strategical direction in the function, by scoping and implementing relevant strategic objectives
  • Act as a role model and facilitator of compliant and best practise working environment for operators

You can expect around 5-10 travel days per year.

Personality matters
As a person, you easily collaborate and engage with a network of many different stakeholders, and you are known for your strong communication skills and ability to provide a clear strategical direction on all levels of the organization. This is supported by your structural approach and ability to break down strategical objectives to achievable tasks, and you thrive with tasks which involves progress and optimization. As a manager you are involving, motivating, and know that your success is shown through the results and wellbeing within your team.

We imagine that you have an educational background within the technical or production-oriented field which has given you solid technical competencies, combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience from a similar position. Which has given you a proven track record of targeting technical challenges and carrying out tasks in a technical and complex production environment.

It is a requirement that you master Danish and English in writing and speaking.
