Project & Governance Manager

As our new Project and Governance Manager you will be a key player in the continuous improvement initiatives and projects in Portfolio & Program Management, where you will get opportunity to impact processes, working methods and tools, etc. in the Hearing Aid Group of Demant.

Joining us you will be reporting to the Senior Director of Governance & Strategic Programs. In this role, you will be part of our Governance and Strategic Programs department, where we are approximately 40 employees located in Denmark and Switzerland. This position is based in Demant’s headquarter in Smørum, just outside Copenhagen.
The Portfolio and Program Management function works across the brands of our hearing instrument business. We have the responsibility of defining our product roadmap, to lead the product development programs, and to manage the multi-brand product portfolios from cradle to grave. We have the important task of addressing customer and market needs and to deliver continuously market leading innovation and technology. Governance & Strategic Programs is responsible for the operating model incl. governance, processes and projects around our product development programs and product portfolio management.
The role
You will be managing and driving our cross functional governance and processes around our product program management. This also includes leading and facilitating monthly board meetings consisting of senior management members to secure that our future releases are on track. This involves working with various functions delivering into the programs and therefore maintaining a holistic oversight and transparency. In addition, you will be supporting the prioritization and escalating to boards, if necessary. Finally, you can look forward to handling other Portfolio and Program Management projects, which are cross-functional and cross-department.
The Project & Governance Manager is very important for our ability to reach our deadlines and to fulfill our purpose of ensuring continuously competitive products for our customers and users.
What does it take?
You should come along with strong organization skills and solid capabilities in structuring project plans and managing several tasks and projects simultaneously. You have an eye for the details and make sure that things are followed up diligently.
You are furthermore a strong and engaging communicator – verbally and in writing – and you work closely with people on all levels of the organization. You have a strategic mindset and a strong business acumen.
As a person, you are a keen self-starter – eager to connect with your stakeholders and to drive your projects independently. You will also be a key player in the continuous improvement of initiatives and projects within Portfolio & Program Management, where you will get the opportunity to impact processes, working methods and tools.
Your foundation is a master’s degree in business or engineering plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or consulting including strong presentation and facilitation skills.
