The role…
You will play an important role in strengthening the Demant Hearing Aid Wholesale business in making strategic brand and portfolio decisions through deep understanding of the industry. Specifically, you will be part of a highly engaged team that ensures that market intelligence and insights relevant to hearing aid solutions will be systematically collected from various sources, analyzed in the team and shared with relevant Demant stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities
- Take responsibility in co-driving a best-practice market insights department
- Monitor market activities within the hearing aid industry, including development of portfolios, brands, trends and corporate level insights
- Seek and gather information from multiple sources to develop strategic insights and perspectives on the changing market environment, and highlight the implications to Demant Hearing Aid Wholesale business
- Help translate market insights into potential commercial differentiation and positioning, assessing potential future opportunities/threats to the business
- Develop and maintain transparent ways of sharing market intelligence information across the business, including knowledge management, news, alert emails and SoMe posts
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure business issues are translated into specific research/analytic questions with clear business impact
- Communicate market dynamics and behaviors on a regular basis, keeping the organization informed of any significant market events and activities as they occur
- Champion the adoption of market intelligence tools and techniques to ensure greater outside/in awareness within the organization
- Co-create a market insights platform to ensure ongoing collection of data with local & global context
- Manage ad hoc requests from key commercial stakeholders
- Expected travelling: Around 20-25 days per year
As a candidate for this position we look for the following:
- A Master’s degree from a business school, technical university etc.
- 3-4 years of experience from a global organization is required, preferably from the medical device arena or perhaps even from the industry
- Experience in market intelligence, knowledge management or market research
- Strong analytical skills, familiar with and able to analyze secondary data, building in assumptions and modeling when full data is unavailable
- Technical interest and ability to translate technical matters into easy-to-understand messaging
- Audiological background/skills are a strong advantage - but not a must
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and communication skills as well as fluency in English
- Strong stakeholder management abilities – able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated and autonomous with strong team orientation skills
- Positive and engaging mindset
- Open and curious
