Drive your Cloud Vision & Strategy
We are looking for a Director, Cloud Center of Excellence, who will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled and engaged Senior Cloud Architects, Senior Cloud Developers and Senior Project Managers.
As Director, Cloud Center of Excellence you will be responsible for our overall strategy, governance, and performance of the team. Furthermore, you will be reporting to the VP of Enterprise Platforms, Infrastructure & Security (EPIS) and you will be working out of the Demant HQ in Smørum.
You are expected to proactively be in charge of the team’s demand/capacity in collaboration with Line of Business, colleagues in IT as well as IT management. We are developing a lot in this area and we foresee that the team will grow over the coming years.
So, you will be responsible for working with our Cloud roadmap and ensure that we constantly improve and harden our deliveries. You will have a close collaboration with our various Business Unites, especially our R&D organisation to secure that we deliver the best cloud technology and solutions for hearing aid users all around the world.

Demant is a global company with more than 17,000 global colleagues, who all use our IT solutions. – To ensure this, you will have more than 400 employees across Europe, US and the Asia Pacific region supporting you. To connect with them and drive your approach in the most optimal way, you should expect 20-30 days of travelling each year.
Your main responsibilities
Joining us, you will drive the continued deployment of a containerized environment based on AKS, for many of our digital services utilized for our products. Furthermore, you will ensure stable operations, proper monitoring, and reporting in close collaboration with our 24/7 monitoring function.
To summarize, the key responsibilities in the role include:
- Drive our Cloud vison and strategy together with the IT management team
- Develop our Cloud Governance model, to ensure all areas are covered
- Ensure implementation of the future Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution for Demant
- Focus on our PaaS solutions – but still understanding the IaaS setup and consulted within SaaS solutions
- Manage the cloud setup (mainly Azure – but other cloud solutions are also in the scope)
- Focus on consumptions and efficiency to secure best setup for Demant
- Be a key stakeholder in our Digital EcoSystem journey in collaboration with various business units and the rest of the EPIS management team
- Vendor Management in collaboration with our Vendor Management function
- Continuously develop and improve services offered by the Cloud Center of Excellence
We need your experience
To succeed in the job, you need to have solid experience within Cloud solutions in a global company.
We expect you to have broad experience with core components/technologies in the area of Infrastructure & Operations. Furthermore, we expect you to possess good leadership experience in a virtual and global world as well as experience in deploying and operating services in a cloud setup. Knowledge within modern cloud architecture is important in this role. If you have a proven track record on different cloud implementations you will have a good advantage.
Finally, you keep your awareness of industry trends and technology advancements Up to date. In your current position, you could be an IT leader of a Cloud team, an IT manger with experience in cloud services or work as a consultant focusing on Cloud projects.

First round interviews will be conducted on the 11th and 12th of August. Final round interviews are scheduled to be held on the 19th of August.
