Global Planning Director
Would you like to develop and lead a Global Planning function? Do you have a passion for S&OP and inventory management?
Then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
You will lead a Global Planning function in Demant with the global responsibility of the strategic, tactical and operational planning process. Global Planning is a highly engaged and professional team with a strong business identity that operates and interacts with all levels of the organization. The department has significant impact on the strategic initiatives within the Demant hearing aid group and plays a leading role to ensure a strong sales- and forecast process enabling a robust capacity and production planning.
The department operates gross functional and interacts with all layers of the organization and takes responsibility for the entire product life cycle, from development (NPI) at our different sites worldwide to phase out. Your primary stakeholders will be in Sales- and Marketing, Finance and off course within Global Operation main and local sites. In order to succeed in the role strong collaboration skills with our global Wholesale and Retail functions are pivotal.

The department plays a key role in Global Operation as it basically sets the drumbeat for all production activities, up to launches and in mass production. The decision power impacts both the global and local execution.
You will be offered freedom and a great opportunity, driving strategies within your domain but also with significant impact to the Global Supply Chain and Operation strategy. You will have a close cooperation with professional and highly motivated management teams within Global Supply Chain – all aiming for the same goal of creating valuable results within the different areas together.
Your role as Director of Global Planning
Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be:
• Develop, manage, and lead the Global Planning department
• Development and implement guiding principles for global planning activities
• Ensure that IT system are developed and professionalized with a focus on global and local objective
• Being accountable for all level of planning operational, tactical and S&OP
• Mature and develop our S&OP process.
• Managing and being accountable for global inventories centrally, in wholesales and the retail.
• Communication and stakeholder management
Are you the right match?
You have a proven record in leading and motivating a high performing global team. You have strong communication skills enabling clear communication and ability to transform complex data analysis to business impact and decisions. Working in a global and gross function organization is natural for you and you operate with profound stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Preferably you have experience from global IT projects or an eagerness and interest in how to develop a business and a department through IT.
You hold a relevant Master or bachelor’s degree with a supply chain, production focus and have a leadership and management background within planning and/or supply chain. We expect you to have profound English language skills, as it is our company language.
The department has today 20 employees and are located in Denmark, Smørum and Poland, Stettin and has a strong collaboration with local Wholesale and Retail logistic and sales management.
You should expect 30-40 travel days per year, travels will be mainly to our main production sites in Poland.
