What are we looking for
We are introducing a new role as an addition to the Leadership team in Portfolio Management and are currently looking for a Director of Portfolio Planning who will be reporting as a staff function to the VP of Portfolio Management.
About us
The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the portfolio vision, department strategies, defining and roadmapping our future product value propositions, Product Management as well as life cycle management of the Demant Hearing Instrument brands.
Working within a 5-10 years horizon, we are responsible for designing plans for the product portfolio of the future that we hand over to our development programs. Once the development is completed, we take responsibility of monitoring and managing the life cycle of our products ensuring the necessary momentum until we led the phase out process.
We are a group of highly qualified, ambitious and passionate people that forms a link between virtually all functions and departments of the organization – both commercial and technical. Your role
- Project lead, facilitate and contribute to strategic processes including change management activities
- Consolidate and manage various types of roadmaps and act as a gate keeper who ensures organizational transparency of the plans, update and keep track of dependencies
- Align and ensure compliance with cross organizational plans and facilitate relevant for a and processes
- Develop and update department templates, e.g. Business case, roadmaps, reports etc.
- Interact with many stakeholders and share, get input and discuss roadmap issues
- Develop and provide input to business case analysis
- Analyse business reporting and translate into relevant analysis tools for the department
- Follow up on department objectives and KPI’s
- Participate in and contribute to Department Leadership team activities
- Monitor and follow up on budgets and Department progress on change projects and other strategic activities
- Support planning and roadmapping in both agile and waterfall development models
Your qualifications
You have a commercial educational background like Cand. Merc and/or MBA with focus on leadership and strategic processes. And you bring;
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience with portfolio planning and you probably started out in Product management
- Structured mindset and strong project leader competences.
- Ability to think out of the box and develop new concepts, strategies and methodologies
- Flair for the technical, e.g. HW/SW/APP/Data
- Structured with a high level of drive and personal impact is a must
- Excellent English communication skills both in terms of speaking, presenting but also written is a must
- Experience from a Medical Device company and/or a company with products consisting of both hardware and software/app elements is an advantage, not a must
- Strong stakeholder management skills, a strong networker by nature and a dismantler of silos
- Ability to be effective and efficient in both strategic, tactical and operations tasks with high complexity
- Strong knowledge of software tools like Powerpoint, Excel, PowerBI and eg. Sharpcloud
- Experience with Scaled Agile frameworks is an advantage
