We are introducing a new role as Agile Program Manager to join our new Agile program management office reporting to the Director of Portfolio Planning in Portfolio Management.

What are We Looking For?
We are introducing a new role as an addition to the Leadership team in Portfolio Management and are currently looking for a Agile Program Manager who will be reporting as a staff function to the VP of Portfolio Management.

Working within a 5-10 year horizon, you are responsible for designing plans for the product portfolio of the future that we develop together with our development programs and Agile Value streams. Once the development is completed, we take responsibility of monitoring and managing the life cycle of our products and plan relevant adjustments and updates to running programs.

Portfolio Management is a group of highly qualified, ambitious, and passionate people forming a link between virtually all functions and departments of the organization – both commercial and technical. We are a very diverse group with many nationalities, professional backgrounds and set of competencies. Many of us have been an important part of the groups success for years and take large responsibility for the success of our product portfolios in the future.

We started our SAFe journey early 2021 and currently we have 4 agile release trains running. We plan to expand SAFe into more areas once we have lean portfolio management running. You, as part of the APMO function, will play a key role getting LPM up and running and get our various LPM events to fully operate.

Your Role

  • As APMO you are part of our Portfolio Operations that coordinates and supports our Agile program execution
  • Coordinate and align value stream cadence and integration points
  • Ensure value stream feedback and report out to our strategic portfolio reviews
  • Update portfolio Kanban and consolidate roadmaps
  • Defining objective metrics and reporting as KPIs leading towards business , E.g. Portfolio Kanban velocity, Change request etc.
  • Plan and facilitate portfolio sync meetings
  • Monitor portfolio execution learnings and cross fertilize
  • Plan and facilitate lean budgeting, guardrails, and coordinate portfolio governance
  • Ensure that the right processes and events are in place to secure that development work is linked to business strategies.
  • Apply lean-agile leadership & promote SAFe Bests Practices for Portfolio & ART level leaders.
  • Establish Lean Agile Metrics & KPI’s and automate reporting through our Enterprise Portfolio tool for organizational transparency

Your Qualifications
You have a relevant educational background like Engineer, Cand. Merc and/or MBA with focus on leadership and strategic processes. And you bring;

  • Certification in/Experience with SAFe agile framework development processes as well as Lean Portfolio Management is a must
  • Experience in a similar role to a SAFe APMO
  • Structured project/program leader competences with a high level of drive and personal impact
  • Ability to understand complex projects/programs/products
  • Excellent English facilitation & communication skills both in terms of expectation management, speaking, presenting but also written is a must
  • Experience from a Medical Device company and/or a company with products consisting of both hardware and software/app elements is an advantage, not a must
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, a strong networker by nature and a dismantler of silos
  • Strong tactician combined with a strong operational focus.
  • Strong knowledge of software tools like Powerpoint, Excel, PowerBI and eg. Sharpcloud
