Student Assistant for iOS development
Do you have experience within iOS development and a solid knowledge of how to build quick prototype apps to be used in early innovation projects?
Would you like to further strenghten your professional qualifications and participate in making a true difference for people all over the world?
Then we have a unique opportunity for you in our Discovery team in our R&D department.
We are a team of 10 engineers and innovators, focused on finding the ‘next big thing’ in hearing healthcare.
You will get a rarely seen mix of working entrepreneurially with customer problems and new product concepts, while being part of a global industry leader. You will participate in innovation projects and build iOS prototypes to test out new ideas and solutions with end users.
We are located in Smørum, half an hour away by train from central Copenhagen.
Key responsibilities
In our group, we collaborate with engineers, end-users, and the market to quickly mature and test new ideas for people living with hearing loss.
Your primary job will be focused on developing apps and possibly other software solutions as part of Discovery projects. Some of your general tasks include:
• Spare with project members of the right prototype to build to test the opportunity.
• Design, model and test apps and software solutions to be used in the projects.
• Interact with other app developers to ensure best practice.
We expect you to work no less than 1½ days a week, distributed to suit both your and our schedule. This may increase in busy periods; however, we also offer flexibility around exams and holidays.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate person with a high sense of ownership – your willingness to learn and execute matters more to us than a specific study program.
Furthermore, you must have:
• Experience with developing native iOS apps using Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Passioned, self-driven personality, and courage to challenge existing solutions.
If you furthermore possess the following, it will be an added advantage:
• Experience working with Xamarin and .NET
• Experience working with Firebase for app development
• Experience in native Android using Android SDK and Android Studio (Java/Kotlin/C++)
• Experience in CI/CD frameworks that enhance mobile apps development and releasing (we use Azure DevOps)
• Interest and understanding of UX & UI for apps
We expect that you are also willing to share your knowledge with co-workers and assume you are as eager to follow the newest technology trends as the rest of us.
We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible and who is in the final year of the bachelor or the first year of the Master. You are a student at DTU, ITU, KU or other relevant education.
