Student assistant for our Usability and CoCreation team
Are you looking for an exciting student job, with high flexibility and mobility? Might you be interested in medical device design, user experience, audiology and usability testing? Then you may be the new Student Assistant in our Team of Usability and CoCreation (TUC).
About the job
You will become an integrated part of a team of 9 employees within usability engineering and cocreation. You will be working to support individual team members as well as doing task that improves our process within the team. With the help from you we strive to become even more efficient.
Most often you’ll be assisting the usability engineer of TUC with managing smaller projects and doing many different tasks, from practical orientated tasks to more administrative ones. Consequently, your areas of responsibility and your tasks are very broad and varied. Some of the tasks include:
• Correspondence with test individuals
• Setting up and handling surveys from CoCreators
• Maintaining database of test participants
• Plan, conduct and report usability studies with Usability Engineers and on your own
• Assist during CoCreation activities and workshops
• Recruitment of test participants
• Designing, and proofreading of presentations and similar material, e.g., slideshows
• Preparation of prototypes
• Assist writing usability documentation
• Transfer of paper logbooks, written posters etc. to digital
• Editing, organizing, and storing video files
• Smaller graphical design tasks for instruction for use, internal online sites, etc.
• Ideation in relation to visualization of design ideas and design recommendations based on study results
• Collection and analysis of internal and external user data
• Analysis of competitor product solutions
…and possibly many other similar tasks that we cannot predict right now.
On average you will have something to do for 15 hours per week, but what we really need is that you are flexible with your hours and adaptable to change. You see where you can help and are not afraid to lift sometimes tedious and very practical tasks.
Your field of study is not the most important, however a design and innovation engineering student is likely to have priority. The most important fact is that you are structured, detailed-oriented, service-minded, and self-motivated. You find motivation in working with many different stakeholders and are not afraid to take responsibility.
