New Business Introduction, Business Owner

In the New Business Introduction (NBI) team at Demant we are looking for a new colleague to drive and facilitate new innovative product launches. The NBI team is part of Brand Management that empowers our four individual hearing aid brands: Oticon, Philips Hearing Solutions, Bernafon, and Sonic Innovations, to unleash the market potential by targeting the brands towards different segments, channels, and price points. The New Business Introduction team drives product releases.
Understand the business and prioritize
The NBI, Business Owner works in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) set-up and is responsible for aligning brand and business priorities in the software development across our products and brands. As a Business Owner you will work closely with the NBI, Brand Release and the development teams to ensure the right priorities and focus, and to share market, customer, and user insight with the development teams to optimize their work.
Your key tasks will be to:
- Commercial responsible in SAFe teams and SAFe work streams
- Share business priorities and market insights with development teams
- Engage in Lean Portfolio Management
- Engage in scope/feature/commercial discussions and decisions in a Business Owner forum to provide commercial guidance during product development through prioritization and guidance of development teams
You will report to the Director, New Business Introduction, Program in the Brand Management team and work in a matrix set-up both within the NBI team but also across the entire development value chain. You should expect 20-30 days of travel yearly.
Who are you?
- You are a self-driven team player with a passion for understanding our customers and their needs.
- You have a strong interest in software development (5 – 6 years of experience from Hi-tech or software developing company)
- You have a commercial mindset and focus on values and benefits
- If you have experience and SAFe Business Owner training will be an advantage, but of course relevant training will be provided
- You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- You have cross-functional and cross border collaborative skills
