Server Solution Specialist - Infrastructure & Operations
Demant is on a mission to modernize and secure our IT Infrastructure, and we need an experienced Server Solution Specialist to join Infrastructure & Operations located in Global IT.
Joining us, you will be getting an inherent opportunity to set the directions for Demant's future IT infrastructure in one of our most important areas, the Server area. You will be getting a great responsibility for developing the right solutions, as the results will provide a platform for Demant's business to operate on. Intrinsic to all our solution design is a Security First mindset, and for the right candidate there will be ample opportunity to deep dive in IT Security.

Join Datacenter Solutions in Infrastructure & Operations
Demant is a global company with more than 18,000 colleagues globally, who all use our IT solutions. – To ensure this, you will have more than 500 employees in Global IT across Europe, US and the Asia Pacific region supporting you.
You will join the team Datacenter Solutions consisting of 9 people located in Infrastructure & Operations consisting of 80 people in total working out of our offices in Denmark and Poland.
Upcoming Projects & Tasks
Soon to come, we will cover an exciting variation of projects. Examples could be a new implementation of DCIM and improved datacenter monitoring, server OS security hardening, implementing Windows Server 2022, and phase-in of new HPE G11 server platform. Furthermore, you will take part in ensuring successful Mergers & Acquisition from an IT Infrastructure perspective as well as developing and maintaining roadmaps in the server area. Most of our solutions are on-premise but we are moving more and more towards Cloud.
To sum up, you can look forward to the responsibilities below:
- Lifecycle management of on-premise server hardware, HPE OneView, ILO, and other server related solutions, including planning and procurement for Demant sites worldwide
- Designing and implementing cost efficient server platform solutions for VMWare, SQL, VDI etc.
- Manage external and internal datacenter facility providers and oversee their operation
- Occasionally participate in Operations tasks, e.g., Incident Management
- Ensure policies, standards and configurations are up to date and usable by Datacenter Operations
- Support and contribute to projects and initiatives, both on-premise and XaaS, as Server Solution Specialist
In your daily job, your most important stakeholders will be our Datacenter Operations department in Poland. Furthermore, you will work with cooperating departments like Core Infrastructure Solutions in Denmark consisting of other solution specialists in the areas of Microsoft Core, Microsoft Cloud, SCCM and Citrix. You will also communicate with Infrastructure Management and ServiceDesk entities worldwide.
Good experience with Server Hardware & Public Cloud Workloads
To succeed in this position, it´s important that you have several years of experience from an IT Infrastructure environment.
Currently you may be working as a specialist or consultant. It is important that you have experience with different technologies within the Server area from a larger/international company. Maybe you have been working as a hands-on Network Administrator or have experience as a Solution Architect or similar.
To sum up, we hope that you have experience with:
- Server Hardware, preferably HPE
- HP ONE View/other server monitoring
- Physical data center facilities (power, cooling, fire protection,)
- Azure or other public cloud workloads
- Windows Server OS and its integration with Active Directory
- VMWare
When it comes to personal skills, you are openminded and inquisitive as well as collaborative and easy going. Structure is one of your preferences when it comes to planning and prioritization and you can quickly adapt to new situations. Finally, you are a Team-Player, and you make an impact through clear communication
