About the department
The IMPACT & Reporting Solutions Department belongs to Research & Development IT and is located in Søborg, Denmark. We are a dedicated team of 11 people, responsible for the implementation, development, support, maintenance and operation of Global R&D IT applications towards the Global Development line of business. We work together as part of an agile and ambitious team, including a strong collaboration with our sister department in Bangalore, India.
Our aim is to increase the value generation to our business stakeholders through implementation and development of digital solutions. These solutions span across many functional areas and technologies, but the central objective is to explore new ways of creating value from our vast data repositories, optimise the data flow across systems as well as continuously automating and improving our manual work processes.
Our end-users and teams are situated all over the globe, and you will be working in an international environment with colleagues from many different cultures.
The position
As an Advanced IT Developer, you will be joining different projects and the tasks can range from understanding and ensuring the necessary configuration on the systems needed for our end-users, to developing system interfaces between two systems or for example creation of data lakes and reporting tools.
The daily tasks will be a mix of project work as well as ad hoc trouble shooting on day to day system issues as well as assessing change requests from a technical and sometimes architectural perspective.
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing business applications
- You have strong programming skills and good knowledge of SQL and databases
- Strong analytical mindset and experience with data engineering
- Practical knowledge of Agile software development
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree Master’s degree within the field of Computer Science, Software Development, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or other related fields with a focus on IT and programming, and you have a high passion for working with IT for the benefit of the end-users.
Preferably you have a history of working with IT in the pharma domain from your current career or alternatively from the university.
You are proficient within IT programming and experienced in building/maintaining interfaces and system integrations, configuration management and automation tools. It is an advantage to know technologies like Alteryx, JavaScript, Python, Oracle SQL, PowerApps, Power BI and RPA. Further, experience with reporting tools like Qlik and Tableau is an advantage.
This job is ideal if you are excited about working with new technologies and able to quickly learn new concepts. We imagine that you have a good flair of understanding business needs and applying the most suitable technology in an agile way. Also, you must be open to continuously explore and adapt new technologies as they appear. You are team oriented and we expect you to be service-minded and thrive in a busy environment.
It is essential that you can put your interpersonal and communication skills into practice to achieve results in collaboration with others. We treasure the positive atmosphere in our team and count on you to engage and participate in a positive manner.
