About the department
The position is anchored within Global Commercial Strategy, where the ambition is to ensure that we live up to our purpose to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases. We act on this purpose by bridging between R&D and Operations, and by setting a clear direction for the Commercial strategy throughout the product lifecycle.
The position
As Global Vice President, NASH your main responsibility will be to lead the commercial entry into NASH, and develop global commercial strategies, identify key opportunities and build business cases which will establish Novo Nordisk as a leader within the area. This includes driving the commercial assessments of internal and external assets and their fit with the global Novo Nordisk strategy. Further to this, you will be the commercial lead on R&D collaborations.
The role offers an opportunity to establish a new global CoE for NASH and take the leadership of a matrix organisation covering a broad range of functions across the Novo Nordisk value chain. The role will lead the market development, as well as define and recommend strategic development options to the relevant Governance Boards. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to build strong relationships with KOLs as well as national and international stakeholders, and clearly present Novo Nordisk’s strategy and ambition to the appropriate audience.
You will report to the CVP, Other Serious Chronic Diseases.
Qualifications
You hold a master's dregee in natural sciences, business or finance combined with +10 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry, preferably across the value chaing (i.e. early product development, lifecycle management, and commercial strategy).
We expect you to have in-depth experience developing global commercial strategies and a thorough understanding of the key drivers of the market, including a solid network with appropriate KOLs.
Furthermore, you have a proven track-record of creating excellent results in a matrix organization, showing your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You thrive in a changing environment, and you enjoy shaping and forming an organisation.
