Do you want to make a difference for patients undergoing surgery by securing a sustainable Sourcing set-up of materials, components and services? Can you make sure that Sourcing standards are established or redesigned with external partners? Then you might be the right candidate to take up the position as External Operations Specialist in Ferrosan Medical Devices.
We are looking for a resourceful External Operations Specialist to develop/redesign and implement Strategic Sourcing policies and processes. You will be creating cost estimates and forecasts, support negotiations of cost-effective contracts with key suppliers and CMOs. Joining us, you will have a high degree of influence in a flat hierarchy and get the opportunity to work cross-functionally in a company that have the end-to-end Supply Chain responsibility.

Project-oriented collaboration
Securing sustainable collaboration and continuously improvements with our external partners is your most important task. By learning and understanding current process, risks and opportunities, you drive the strategic direction for ensuring an excellent set-up, where Quality, Delivery and Cost are central drivers.
You are a key player in the strategic team effort of developing or selecting new suppliers and CMOs. In general, your tasks are project-oriented and completed in collaboration with category managers and many other colleagues.
More specifically, you:
• Establish and improve sourcing procedures and strategies
• Analyzing and calculating purchase costs and developing cost reduction strategies without compromising quality and delivery
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to take the right purchasing decisions to ensure quality, delivery and cost based on scenario analysis, as well as market trends
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team and relevant projects to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities
• Conduct market research, as well as create cost estimates and forecasts
• Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations
• Maintain Strategic Sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships
You have team spirit and strategic sourcing knowledge
As you will be working with an array of different functions within Ferrosan Medical Devices, it is important that you have excellent teamworking skills and are ready to help-out and develop where needed.
That being said, you will also be assigned tasks that requires you to work on your own and without detailed instruction – which is why your ability to take initiative is a key trait in your professional toolbox.
Being responsible for relationship- and optimization aspects regarding our suppliers and CMOs, you are able to present complex results to stakeholders with different levels of understanding.
Furthermore, you:
• Have an Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, logistics, or in a related field. A Master's degree in business or specialization in advanced procurement management will be advantageous
• Have at least four years' sourcing experience in a related industry
• Have exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Are experienced in working with development and management of external business partners
• Can speak and write English and Danish on a corporate level
