Where you will be working In Novo Nordisk, Development is responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide aiding Novo Nordisk in driving change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases through developing innovative and sustainable treatment solutions and making them accessible to patients worldwide. You will be the Product Owner of one or our digital product teams that is centered around enabling the Development organisation and its partners in executing our flagship digitalisation initiatives and strategic aspirations. We aim to achieve scale and speed by transforming our clinical development processes through harnessing advanced automation, data insights, and cloud infrastructure capabilities as an integral part of our next-generation digital solutions. What you will do We are looking for Product Owners to support strategic initiatives to improve our data foundation within clinical and operational data handling. The role plays an active part in leading the transformation of how we capture and leverage data from clinical trials and derive actionable insights using state-of-the-art digital services and solutions. As a Product Owner, you will ensure we focus on outcomes that make a difference for our internal and external stakeholders. You will utilise your product thinking in translating business strategy into actionable product roadmaps and backlogs, balancing input from users, strategy and developers, with the goal to build and operate a high-quality solution that is continuously improved to meet business needs.
In your role, you will work closely with product managers, scrum masters, subject matter experts and external partners to understand the needs of the business, as well as colleagues in the development organisation. Further, you will also work closely with relevant software vendors. In your daily work, you will apply agile methods to ensure a flexible and incremental approach to product development. You are expected to shape the digital solution to support the overall organisation and use creative thinking to identify how the organisation and processes can be reshaped to better support the scalability and efficiency of developing digital products. Some of your key activities will be to: Ensure that product discovery is done continuously, considering end-user perspectives Prioritize and keep an overview of upcoming activities, both for Novo Nordisk and vendor-specific activities Analyse requirements and work closely with stakeholders and user organisations to implement prioritized activities Drive risk and impact assessment of new requirements, including securing the right level of documentation Define and drive operational roll-out, support, and communication to end-users. Challenge future needs and ways of working within the Clinical Digital Systems and Digital Transformation area. What you bring To be successful in this position, you probably have: Preferably a Master’s degree in relevant area (Business, Design, IT, Engineering, or other related fields) Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner (or similar role working closely with development of digital solutions and customers) A passion for building and scaling digital products from problem discovery to realised benefits Positive, solution-oriented mindset with an interest in process optimization and IT system development A holistic approach with a flair for distinguishing needs and recognising priority business requirements, and an eye for simplification Proactive, structured, and strong desire to create real impact for the business Experience with an agile development methodology, e.g. Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) will be an advantage As a person you get energized from solving complex problems and navigating a cross-functional stakeholder landscape to ensure we create high-impact solutions. Besides, you need strong communication skills including the ability to communicate complex subjects in an easy and understandable way - and excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
