The position In Novo Nordisk’s Clinical Drug Development organisation, we have more than 35 project leaders responsible for driving product development and chairing the Global Project Teams. This function continues to expand, comprising Project Directors (PDs), Project Vice Presidents (PVP) and Project Coordinators.. Their ability to lead the projects, develop the products with an enterprise mindset, apply deep value chain understanding, and inspire a holistic perspective of the patient needs, are essential for the future portfolio of Novo Nordisk. In addition, there are project leaders across the value chain with whom there are better practice sharing events, common trainings and onboarding activites. As a Senior Functional Training Professional, your role is pivotal in shaping our Acceleration Programme to enhance competence development within our CDD PVP area and leadership team. You will build a Curriculum to prepare potential PVPs and PDs for their future role while ensuring the seamless onboarding for new project leaders. Your key responsibilities: Drive the development and execution of an Acceleration Programme for potential GPT Chairs, alongside an Onboarding Programme for GPT Chairs Develop and manage support of the Project Coordinators Advise and support strategic initiatives, leveraging your expertise to drive effective decision-making Ensure alignment and active engagement of both internal and external stakeholders in training projects. This involves managing vendors responsible for content creation, hosting, or delivering training sessions for the group This opportunity offers a unique chance to collaborate closely with esteemed project leaders (PDs and PVPs) and engage with high-level stakeholders such as the CDD leadership team, Development Portfolio & Project Management team, and People & Organization department. You'll be at the forefront of driving impactful training initiatives that shape the future leadership landscape within our organization Qualifications Academic degree in life sciences, business, education, or another relevant field Experience driving learning & competency development initiatives, preferably specialising in leadership training and/ or onboarding, within a large and complex organisation Experience in the life science industry, specifically in clinical development would be a great asset but not a requirement Proven track on senior stakeholder, project, and change management Background working with vendors such as top-level business schools and consultancies providing training for executives and project leaders is a plus Proficient in written and verbal English As an individual, you embody a team-centric mindset, innovation, and curious nature, coupled with remarkable flexibility and a keen awareness of various situations and cultures. Your attitude toward change is one of enthusiastic embrace and adept adaptation, perceiving transitions as avenues for personal and professional growth. We expect you to work independently, follow through and be able to manage senior stakeholders in steering group settings. Overall, you are motivated by seeing people develop and become more successful in their roles. About the Department You will join the CDDEO anchored in the Development organisation located in Søborg. We are responsible for driving activities that support the management of the CDD area with over 1,100 employees who are planning, executing, and concluding our global clinical trial activities and leading our product portfolio development. In the executive office, we support the Senior Vice President to lead the organisation. We drive strategic business processes, lead sustainability initiatives, execute communication activities, manage budgets, organise major department events, and support the community of project leaders in CDD.
