The position The overarching purpose of this role is to help define and repeatedly run a 3-months process to review the end-to-end value of pipeline assets (in order of strategic importance), identifying opportunities for digital solutions to enhance this value and to make recommendations how to unlock it. As a Director Asset Enhancement, you will: Define the key steps to identify & incorporate sources of internal & external input and whom to involve at which point in time. Set the process up to (a.o. dimensions) consider pain points/opportunities in the patient pathway, market access, and regulations in key markets, uncovering the most valuable opportunities addressable by digital solutions. Design the process to incorporate in-depth analyses on the commercial viability & sustainability of unlocking identified opportunities, providing a clear rational on why or why not, where and how to unlock value. Ensure the process delivers customer-centric, actionable output. Ensure the process entails a build-in quality control and self-improvement module. Repeatedly, set up and lead high-performing, cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to run the process on specific assets. Guide the teams to run state-of-the art ways of working (agile methodology, design thinking) to ensure maximum efficiency. Ensure tight stakeholder management from start to end to set the team up for success. Ensure timely and effective hand overs of deliverables at the end of the process including team retros of improvement opportunities going forward Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and contribute to the development of new strategies. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Qualifications To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: MD/PhD/MS in medical/scientific/engineering discipline, preferably in combination with a degree in business administration. At least ≥6-8 years of experience in the life-science industry and/or consulting driving a deep understanding of drug development in specific and the pharma value chain in general. Track record of executing digital solutions to improve patient outcomes. Experience in working in cross-functional Global Pharma Development Teams. Consulting experience is highly desired. About the department The Digital Transformation area in Development is a newly created CVP-area of approximately 30 people setting strategic direction, coordinating, catalysing, and governing our Digital Transformation across the Drug Development organisation. In collaboration with digital teams in SVP (Senior Vice President) areas across Development, we identify new opportunities for utilising data and digital solutions for the benefit of patients as well as our organisation.
