Systems Engineering on Naval programmes.
As an End-2-End Systems Engineer in Terma R&D you will be developing defense solutions for the future. You will get the opportunity to work with modern technology within a special industry which you will not find many other places. The open positions are primarily focused towards the maritime domain.
You will use your system understanding to ensure stable and robust solutions ready for combat in a, at times, rough environment. To achieve this, you master translating customer needs into clear and well thought out written system requirements.
Over time you will be involved in various challenges within the systems engineering discipline, requiring you to not only be curious about technology but also a quick learner and ready to adapt between different tasks.
You will take the role as the go-to person for development teams, being the expert of one or more sub-systems of our products and solutions, and over time become our Lead Systems Engineer on customer projects or products.
You will become part of a group of skilled and passionate people eager to share their knowledge and do their best to make sure to take good care of you and ensure that you are not left alone with technical challenges. Development of both you, us and our solutions is key.
You will be developing customer-focused and cyber-resilient solutions, products, and services to support Multi Domain Operations (maritime, land, air, space, and cyberspace).

We imagine that you have a Bachelor- or Master’s degree in a related field of Engineering, perhaps as newly graduated or with some years of experience already. Most important is that you have a good technical understanding and a curiosity and willingness to learn new complex domains that you probably haven't encountered before. You see the benefit in breaking overall stakeholder needs down into clear and well thought out written requirements, as this is where good systems engineering starts.
