SaltPower is a fast-growing company developing green technology for producing energy. SaltPower has managed to further develop an idea of producing clean, CO2-free, predictable energy through pressure retarded osmosis by mixing water and salt water through a semi-permeable membrane. The technology will be essential for the green transition.

At SaltPower, you will become part of a team of highly specialized professionals developing the next leap within green energy.

your responsibilities


You will be responsible for developing the pressure retarded osmosis system and related machinery. Your work could include:

- Designing & developing systems and support machinery
- Programming and designing PLC & controls
- Creating the necessary documentation
- Contributing to or carrying out risk assessments
- Working closely with the process department delivering the design inputs for projects
- Handling of sub-suppliers and ensuring our quality standards are met
- Traveling activities in relation to customer meetings and the commissioning phase

Depending on your interests and experience, your work could also include working with AI.

your profile


You are eager to contribute to the production of CO2-free, predictable energy and thereby contribute to the green transition. You want to change the future of energy and be a key team member, in a team that are first-movers in a new era of energy.
You have a background as an automation or mechatronic engineer. You are familiar with PC Schematic, TIA, MatLab and programming in Python or similar. In short, you have experience with:

- PLC & HMI programming
- Controls and the design of these
- Design of control philosophy
- Working in a structured manner with project execution and different project execution models
- Commissioning of machinery
- Documentation and operating instructions

You may also have experience from building reverse osmosis plants or from oil, power, renewable or chemical industries.

about saltpower


SaltPower is the world’s first commercial energy production technology based on osmosis. At SaltPower, the focus is on the osmosis principle to produce clean and CO2-free energy by harnessing the potential energy of saltwater and water. The company was founded in 2015, and in 2018 SaltPower built the world’s first full scale demonstration system aimed at producing osmotic power from concentrated brines. The first commercial project was sold in 2020.
