Group Risk Consultant – Enterprise and Operational Risk Management

The role as Risk Consultant is part of Legal, Compliance & Risk Management, with five qualified advisers working with legal and compliance matters. The role has a direct reporting line to the VP, close exposure to the Canon Group and Senior Management in Milestone. The team is based in Broendby, Denmark and they are an integrated part of Business Support and act as advisors to Senior Management.
Heading Risk Management priorities and processes in a Global setting
In the role as Group Risk Consultant, you interact with all divisions and global sites, and you thus drive both Operational and Enterprise risks and follow up on mitigating actions; these include workshops, cross-organizational collaborations and management reporting. You “own” the complete risk footprint. You monitor that key controls are carried out and review established processes for efficiencies and compliance, and based on these findings, you ensure training initiatives. You collaborate with the organization to refine the controlling landscape, which, e.g., includes monitoring controls in connection with financial reporting.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Drive the Enterprise Risk Management agenda for Milestone.
- Identify risks for commercial, financial and legal assessments.
- Review and make suggestions for improvements in internal control processes.
- Perform internal reviews and controls.
- Documentation and reporting, including the SOX framework.
- Work in ADRA and other reporting systems.
- Participate in insurance policy work.
Your stakeholders cover all levels from reporting to Canon Ltd Japan as well as conveying to the business, the requirements for a complete SOX reporting.
Experienced Risk Consultant, with strong business acumen and process understanding
The right candidate demonstrates solid experience in defining and monitoring processes for risks and controls, and with 5+ years of concrete experience from Operational risks. If you do not have direct experience with Enterprise risks, you compensate through your strong cross-organizational business understanding. In your work, you are able to balance between tactical planning and following-up and executing workshops and trainings. Your experience many come from a role as responsible for in-house risk management processes or as advisor in audit or assurance companies, and you are used to operate in an international setting and speak and write English fluently.

In your work, you seek, in a structured and organized manner, to make solutions that match business needs and strategies and with easy ways of operations. You are good with details and deliver with precision, while also understanding how to provide an overview and create process flows. You balance your team orientation with an ability to proactively start activities and to work independently. You possess a “can do” approach and are not negatively influenced by deadlines and priorities.
