Do you want to develop innovative products that saves lives and improves patient care by using your skills? Do you hold a degree in electronics engineering with +7 years of experience with FPGA design and electronic? Then you may be our new Senior R&D Electronics engineer.

We are now offering a challenging position where you will be an active contributor in the innovation team within the Displaying Unit module development team and participate in securing the future success of Ambu to the benefit of our users.
You will be part of an effective innovation culture with a tradition for fast completion of projects, which means that there is a visible link between your results and Ambu’s growth. You will be a member of the Platform Innovation team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. We have full focus on developing new products and processes that combine several technologies in new and innovative ways. This imposes high demands to your skills and broad experience.
Electronics development
You are a vital player in product development projects, and you will lead many internal and external aspects of digital design implementations. You’ll run the digital design of our future products, including FPGA design. You will act as an internal consultant on the development projects within the electrical field and you will work closely with external partners.
Your main responsibilities include
You will also be responsible for documentation of the products according to FDA and ISO and you will assist QA/RA in the regulatory and quality assurance engineering issues in the electronic area.
Your contact base will be broad, and you will have interface with Ambu’s global organisation, all departments involved in product development projects and externally with subcontractors, users and knowledge centres.
Experience in medical device
In order to be successful in the job, you need to thrive in work situations with both internal and external partners where you use your outstanding interpersonal skills to ensure long-lasting and beneficial solutions. You are positive, constructive, structured, detail oriented and you combine a proactive mind-set with the ability to plan, execute and meet deadlines.
You have +7 years of experience with electronic development and preferably you hold a master’s degree in electronics engineering or similar. You have experience with FPGA development, high speed digital design, DDR4, MIPI CSI and PCIe interfaces, preferably also medical device standards IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC) and IEC 62304 (SW).
Additionally, you have some insight in different communication technologies (Wireless, 60GHz and 5G), and you have great interest in customer understanding and translating the customer requirement/application demands into product features.
Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration. You must be fluent in English and you can expect some travelling (approximately 20 days per year).

- Leading electronics development within projects
- High speed digital interaction and implementation
- Schematic and layout design (Cadence Orcad)
- Participate in review of electrical design
- Review of electrical patient safety
- Verification and testing in cooperation with both internal and external partners.
You will also be responsible for documentation of the products according to FDA and ISO and you will assist QA/RA in the regulatory and quality assurance engineering issues in the electronic area.
