For our client CareCom in Hellerup close to Copenhagen, we are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled software engineer eager to lead and who will be the player-coach for the local team of software developers.
CareCom has great success worldwide with their software solution HealthTerm helping governments, hospitals and healthcare systems with normalization of clinical codes, mapping local codes to standards, and supplying & ‘cleaning’ content in patient journal systems. You will see CareCom software installations both in larger and smaller public or private healthcare companies from Europe, New Zealand and to the US.
Your key responsibilities
As Senior Manager, Engineering, you will have a broad role including
- People leadership, including building the team as CareCom grows
- Stakeholder relationships to product owner, sales, and support
- Building tech roadmaps and requirements
- Delivery management via agile methodologies
- Service and quality excellence
Also, you will take an active role in the full stack software development tasks, helping and guiding the team members, taking care of technology, as well as architectural choices.
CareCom’s tech stack is Java J2EE running on Wildfly, PostgreSQL, and a combination of different frontend web frameworks. The application is supported for both on-premise and cloud hosting.
Desired experience
You have a university degree in computer science or similar and 5+ years of software development experience, including Java development. Also experience in AWS or with other cloud providers would be great.
Your career has included roles as team lead and/or project leadership, software architecture responsibilities etc. If you have experience as Scrum master, this would be a plus.
As a person, you are enthusiastic, positive and optimistic. You are eager to lead, motivate, and develop a team and are interested in joining an international scale-up company like CareCom.
Fluency in English is necessary, preferably also fluency in Danish.
