ScanPeople is looking for an Electrical Plant Engineer on behalf of DISA Industries & Simpon EU.

About The Role
As an Electrical Plant Engineer your role is on site supervision for installations and upgrades as well as trouble shooting on electrical projects. You will design and have the responsibility for documentation of the electrical systems and connection arrangements during the delivery of total foundry line projects.
You will ensure electrical systems and transmission connections work as required during delivery and upgrades is carried out to a standard and in a manner that ensures that the machine / foundry line will function safely and reliably over its lifetime. You will assess quotations with regards to electrical plant projects submitted from sales for retrofit contracts & plant projects. You need to have technical specifications relating to all type of electrical plant projects.
You will be located on the Danish site of DISA Industries in Taastrup. You will be a part of a small team and report to Simpson Vice President Operational Management, LOB Moulding, who’s located in Germany.
You can expect 60-80 travel days per year.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify and address equipment malfunctions in electrical appliances related to foundry lines.
- On site installation supervision.
- Maintain electrical, mechanical, or electronic equipment, such as PLC’s.
- Carry out diagnostic checks on PLC’s.
- Communicate status of operating equipment to Project Manager.
- Implement electrical project upgrades in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Install or calibrate electrical equipment.
- Maintain logs, reports and documentation of work performed in foundry plants.
Your Qualifications
- Electrical Technical diploma or similar with experience in technical support of capital machinery processes.
- Extensive work-related experience may be substituted for technical diploma.
- You could have a background as an Electrician, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer etc.
- It’s preferred that you have experience with PLC programming skills.
- Requires a thorough understanding of plant machinery processes and equipment and the interrelationships between them.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of operation, maintenance and control of plant systems and equipment specific to the process area of the position. (e.g. Electrical systems and equipment & Instrument & Controls systems).
- Required that you are fluent in written and spoken English.
- Danish is not a requirement but preferred.
