Praktik - Tinglev
We are looking for a student who wants to learn and develop software and hardware skills within electronics. You should be able to think outside the box, be creative in finding solutions and explore alternatives and have a critical mindset.
MCI offers a great opportunity where you will have every chance to apply your multiple skills in an industry base application that has a scope and purpose anchored in the real world. You will get the opportunity to design and develop a test system for the main controller in the refrigeration unit.

The new test system that you will design has to be capable of simulating the environment outside the container, testing the reaction of the controller unit.
By working on real-life industry projects, you will learn practical approaches to solving challenges against constrains in resources, cost and application. You will gain your first experience of understanding how a multinational company works, how challenges are approached and how solutions are devised. Working with electronics and software will provide you with the knowledge you need to embark on the next step of your career with confidence and determination.
MCI is located in Tinglev in the Southern part of Denmark, close to attractive cities like Sønderborg, Kolding and Flensburg. We have strong local roots but act on a truly global stage. At MCI in Tinglev, you will enjoy an informal and supportive atmosphere. We work hard and are aware of our contribution to global trade, while we make sure that we have fun and enjoy working with each other.
You will be working with systems that contain contactors, transformers, power-measuring units, phase detectors, oxygen, temperature, pressure sensors, heaters, vacuum pumps, motors, fervency converters and more. It is an exciting mix of hardware and software that works together in balance to create the best environment inside MCI reefers.
Together with our engineers, you will be guided step by step through this project, ensuring that you gain valuable state-of-the-art knowledge within electronics and software and preparing the ground for your future career
To qualify for this internship position, it is a requirement that you are currently living in Denmark and are enrolled at a Danish University, studying at Bachelor’s or Master's degree within the field of Electronics, Embedded Software and/or Hardware.
Additionally, we expect you to have:
• A good understanding of analogue and digital electronics (electrical circuits, diode, transistors, resistance, coils, capacitors, ADC, uC, etc.)
• Excellent coding skills within your preferred programing language (c is a plus)
• Strong English language skills (any further language is a plus)
• Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
• A sense of urgency
• A good sense of humour
Furthermore, it is important to us that you have a positive attitude and mindset and a willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge.
The internship will have a duration of approx. 6 months.
Start date is to be agreed but we would prefer you to start around 1 February 2021.
