DanChurchAid (DCA) is looking for a Junior Programme Officer. The position is a one-year position with the possibility of extension based on performance and donor funding. Duty station will be Juba with frequent travels to field locations.
In DCA we strive to secure high-quality standards for both our programme and support staff. The aim for our staff is to maintain a smooth running of the DCA Office with accountability, professionalism and staff welfare as a priority; creating an efficient, open and inspiring work environment for all.
The JPO shall strengthen the monitoring and evaluation, representation and reporting capacity of DCA South Sudan programme through the appropriate development and implementation of processes, tools and resources necessary for projects implemented by
DCA in South Sudan. The JPO will be supporting both the Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) programme and the Humanitarian Assistance and Resilience Programme (HARP). The JPO shall, in close cooperation with the PC, PM, Operations Manager (OPS) and other relevant staff, ensure timely production and submission of quality reports, support programme development, coordination, representation, and fundraising efforts.

Key responsibilities
- Working with the PC, develop comprehensive MEAL frameworks and maintain a database of annual projects outputs.
- Conduct relevant assessments, including needs assessments, baseline assessments, market assessments and impact assessments, etc.
- Represent DCA’s programmes with relevant donors and coordination forums.
- Engage in the strategic development of the country programme and ensure learnings and synergies between DCA programs in country and globally.
Your profile
- You should be under the age of 35
- Not more than 4 years of work experiences after completion of a university degree
- Relevant educational background
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
- Planning and organisation: Ability to manage, organise, plan and implement work assignments, juggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
- Judgment: Demonstrated ability to apply good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Professionalism: Sound knowledge of and exposure to administrative and programme management issues.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Experience with data collection programmes, including KoBo Collect and Magpi.
- Prior experience in the field of humanitarian response and mine action is preferred.
