We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer ready to share and grow. As a Senior QA Engineer you will challenge and be challenged by your colleagues in creating, implementing and maintaining test automation foundation, which will ensure high built-in quality of BEC’s products. You will contribute to the design and development of automated tests. You will help to raise test automation maturity by providing guidance and collaboration with the scrum teams.

Primary task and responsibilities
In the position as Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with TQM, DevOps and test engineers. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Development of test automation frameworks and automated tests for REST APIs, GUIs or mobile/web platforms
  • Guiding & mentoring junior test engineers, test code review, ensuring compliance to internal code standards and tools
  • Evangelizing scrum teams regarding agile test mindset, test automation and built-in quality
  • Creating & analyzing test cases, test suites in relation to test automation
  • Documenting & recording work related to the test automation
  • Finding & identifying test data for the team
  • Cooperation with DevOps regarding deployments, releases, build pipelines etc.

We are looking for you who love to explore and learn!

  • Preferably, you have 5 + years of experience from a similar position

  • As a person, we expect you to identify with the following:
    Strong development & test automation background using multiple development & testing tools, techniques, and platforms
    Experience with developing tests for REST APIs (Java or Kotlin or Groovy)
    Experience with developing tests for GUIs (Protractor or Selenium/Selenide or Cypress)
    Experience with different test types, i.e., Component Tests, Component Integration Tests, Acceptance Tests, Performance Tests, Unit Tests, Smoke Tests, End to End Tests
    Experience with working in an Agile team
    Communication skills (for mentoring and presenting work)
    English at a high level in writing and orally

You are even better fit to position if you have (nice to have):

  • Experience with any of the following technologies: TypeScript, Angular, Java, Kotlin, RESTAssured, Selenide, Swift, iOS, Android, Appium, Visual Studio App Center
  • Experience with TDD or BDD
  • Experience in test automation as part of CI/CD-pipelines
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially MS Azure
  • DevOps mindset
  • Experience with SAFe methodology
  • With colleagues in teams distributed in Denmark and Poland, you must master English at a high level both in writing and orally
