Job description:
We want to strengthen our department with an orthoptist in a 100% permanent position.
The eye department at Østfold Hospital treats most eye diseases and takes care of assessment, diagnostics, medical and surgical treatment. We have modern operating rooms in connection with our outpatient clinic. In January, we opened an injection clinic where we treat AMD patients.
The eye department works to provide high quality eye health services to those who need it at the right time. Our employees have extensive experience, are very dedicated and always have the patient in focus. We are an interdisciplinary team of doctors, specialist nurses/nurses who collaborate across occupational groups.
As an orthoptist, you will work in an interdisciplinary team with a doctor and another experienced orthoptist while at the same time being given the opportunity to work independently with your patients. The eye department is located in modern newly renovated premises in Moss. The current work schedule is day shift. According to the Public Access to Information Act, information about the applicant may be publicly published, even if the applicant has requested not to be included on the applicant list.
We ask all applicants to enclose documentation of education and certificates of work experience. This is to document qualifications that appear in the CV, and for salary determination. All work from the age of 18 is relevant when calculating seniority.

Tasks:
- Independent work as an orthoptist
- Pre- and postoperative care of strabismus patients
- Care of botox patients receiving treatment
- Amblyope treatment
- Neurophthalmological patients
Skills:
- Publicly approved orthoptist from education recognized by the IOA
- English knowledge
Personal abilities:
- Commitment to their profession and a genuine desire to lift the department further.
- Open and confident personality, who has the ability to establish themselves in Norway.

- Working hours and place of work We offer:

- 37.5 hours working week (08.00-15.30)
