Manager – Engineering and Optimization
Do you have a strong track record as a leader from a knowledge intensive business area? Are you ready to strengthen and develop our engineering and optimization area? Then the position as manager for our Engineering and Optimization team may be an exciting opportunity for you.
About the department
Production Technical Department consists of approximately 35 employees and has a wide span of responsibility including, but not limited to: Support to the manufacturing sites, technology transfer, packaging development, automation, cleaning validation, equipment qualification, continued process verification, and optimization projects. The department consist of two teams: Engineering and Optimization, and Process, Cleaning and Qualification.
The position
As Manager of Engineering and Optimization, you will lead a team of 15 highly skilled specialists within areas of Engineering, Manufacturing systems, and LEAN, Six-Sigma and Data science. You will engage and motivate your team to ensure a great work environment and high performance.
Main areas of responsibility are to:
- Continuously develop competencies and ensure high engagement
- Ensure continuous improvements is an integrated part of the way we conduct business
- Take charge of prioritizations and resource allocation to ensure deliverables in your team are met
- Manage and build great relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from the entire organization
- Own and execute the optimization plan and in collaboration with our manufacturing sites
Qualifications
You have a relevant educational background from science, engineering or similar along with a proven track record from a similar position, preferably from a comparable industry. You have excellent leadership skills and are a strong communicator, a good listener and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are business driven and highly motivated by never knowing what tomorrow brings. As a person you are trustworthy, and you have a flair for building relationships across the organization. You are decisive and can prioritize and handle multiple activities at a time; you keep the overview in pressured situations, and you are able to come up with solutions and compromises as needed. You are structured, result oriented and persistent, even when the tasks become complex, and you experience some resistance.
