Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Process & Utility is a fast-growing area of around 80 highly skilled and enthusiastic engineers. We focus on technologies and processes for Active Products, Finished Products and Process Utilities within pharma and biotechnology. On small and large projects, we collaborate closely with our customers and colleagues from other engineering disciplines in all project phases. While most of our activities are in Denmark we do have international project activities and a global mindset is required to accommodate global customers looking for world-class solutions. We are looking into an exciting portfolio of new projects and leads on which we strive to inspire our customers on new technologies and innovative solutions.
With your extensive technology and process knowledge within biopharmaceuticals you’ll be a key player at workshops and on projects where you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that inspires and co-creates with our customers. At initial workshops you’ll use your nose for business in combination with your consultative mindset and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to transform complex choices to simple alternatives. In the following project phases, you’ll design and implement the solutions and can broaden your competences by interacting with fellow experts in Process & Utility.
To inspire on future facility solutions, you are expected to continuously develop and update yourself on the latest trends, technologies, guidelines and industry developments within your area of expertise. As an expert within your area you’re also responsible for sharing your knowledge and help build our competences.
You will typically work as part of a multi-disciplinary project teams where your work could involve:
Required Qualifications: You have 15+ years of experience within process consulting, design & engineering or operation of biopharmaceutical facilities. Further, you have experience acting as an advisor/consultant to management levels internally or externally and an eye for business opportunities. You have up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies within upstream and downstream processing of drug products. Knowledge of processes like Cell & Gene Therapy and mAbs as well as single-use technologies are an advantage along with a good understanding of process control and automation.
As a senior process consultant in the Process & Utility area you will have a wide range of opportunities and responsibilities ranging from interacting with customers/Account Directors at workshops to leading and motivating teams of dedicated colleagues on a variety of challenging projects for global customers incl. our owner Novo Nordisk. You’ll daily find yourself surrounded by highly engaged and knowledgeable colleagues and continuously develop your skills since you play an important role in spotting trends and setting directions for our competence development to ensure we can inspire our customers.
Along with a small team of senior process consultants/specialists you will be based in Virum/Denmark and refer directly to the Director of Process & Utility.

- Initial design phases on concepts for technologies, processes and facility
- High level Process Module Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams
- Process calculations on facility capacity, scheduling and unit operations
- Process risk assessments and specification of process equipment
- Creation of P&ID’s (process design)
- Support cost estimation specialists in TIC calculations
- Working with architects for the creation of the facility layout and flows
- Working with automation engineers on control strategy of process equipment

- You have a BSc or MSc degree in engineering within chemistry or biopharmaceuticals
- You are open, honest and have a positive can-do attitude
- You are result-oriented and enjoy leading and motivating a team to reach ambitious goals
- You have a high personal drive, work independently and enjoy working with colleagues in a team
- You have excellent communication skills and a consultative mindset for close customer interaction
- You thrive in a dynamic work environment and like to challenge and inspire with alternative solutions
- You’re passionate about following technology trends and transforming them to real-life solutions
- You speak and write English fluently and preferably know Danish or are willing to learn it
