Cyber Transformation Architect

The Cyber Transformation Architect is accountable to the Chief Cyber Architect to drive changes to the Cyber services catalog and Cyber Product roadmaps to ensure the Cyber roadmap enables and secures the wider Maersk Platform development journey.

The scope of the role is to provide clarity on the Cyber capabilities and roadmaps, drive the definition of standards and patterns across Cyber and engage with senior technology stakeholders within the organization to ensure their requirements are captured.

The Cyber Transformation Architect is accountable to the Chief Cyber Architect to drive changes to the Cyber services catalog and Cyber Product roadmaps to ensure the Cyber roadmap enables and secures the wider Maersk Platform development journey.

The scope of the role is to provide clarity on the Cyber capabilities and roadmaps, drive the definition of standards and patterns across Cyber and engage with senior technology stakeholders within the organization to ensure their requirements are captured.

Internally, the Cyber Transformation Architect, together with the Chief Cyber Architect form the Technical Design Authority within Cyber.

The role has the following primary responsibilities:

• Lead, develop, and optimally deploy a team of diverse and geographically disbursed cyber product architects.
  
  
• Influence and work collaboratively to guide Developers, Engineers, and Architects, to ultimately deliver security solutions that help deliver Cyber strategic initiatives such as Zero Trust, Maersk Integrated Platform (MIP)
  
  
• Conduct regular workshops with the product teams to ensure collaborative development of Cyber capabilities in line with strategic objectives.
  
  
• Shaping, documenting, and governing the Cyber Architecture in line with Maersk’s goals and strategy (which includes defining and maintaining current, target, and transition state architectures across a range of products)
  
  
• Defining and communicating the Cyber Architectural policies, patterns, and standards that seek to sustain Maersk over at least a 5-year period
  
  
• Governance/assurance processes for Product designs and solutions so that they are operationally ‘fit to run’ and baselined against the architectural reference model (MIP, Zero Trust, etc.)
  
  
• Provide a detailed understanding of cloud security and cloud infrastructure services, threat landscape, attack scenarios, risks, and associated options for effective cyber security solutions.
  
  
• Responsible for effective and collaborative stakeholder engagement across the Enterprise including Infrastructure Teams and Business Platform Teams to ensure timely and cost-effective integration of solutions.

Experience Required

• Recent and extensive experience in the design of complex cyber solutions in a global setting (preferably in retail)
  
  
• Considerable senior architectural experience in a senior Architect role or similar who can provide architectural direction across a large professional technical strategic unit.
  
  
• Significant knowledge of the main (and pre-eminent) products and technologies in Cyber and across other domains. Added to a deep understanding of diverse development tools and methods at all layers of Architecture
  
  
• Extensive familiarity with strategic planning and management in a large complex IT-based business environment and proven ability to gauge the cost of delivering flexibility today against unspecified requirements for change in the future
  
  
• Demonstrates a combination of highly technical engineering leadership and highly developed business insight.
  
  
• Extensive and successful experience as a respected people leader and committed to a servant leadership style.
  
  
• High level of emotional intelligence.
  
  
• Ability to lead improvement and corrective initiatives as needed and ensure the learnings are captured and built into the platform delivery.
  
  
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to advise, prioritize, measure success combined with the ability to choose correctly from alternative solutions in new and varying circumstances
