We are searching for a manager to set up and drive a new team focused on Operations Transformation & Simplification

The position is based at our friendly office in Roskilde, Denmark and you will join our IT Mgmt area. The Ops Transformation & Simplification (Ops T&S), is a new team in bec which will be responsible together with Head of Ops for transforming bec’s IT operations towards market standards. This is done by applying best practices together with our partners, enhanced IT O&M transparency, and a simplified bec’s IT landscape.

The position offers a unique opportunity to build the right team for delivering at one of bec’s most important strategic priorities, where you will be sponsored by our newly appointed CTO, Jesper Andersen. Furthermore, you will be driving key business outcomes in a cross-organizational collaboration by heading projects spanning across bec, multiple teams, and business divisions.

At bec, we work in a hybrid remote model, coming into the office an average of 4 days a week and working remotely for 1 day. Your direct manager will be Head of IT Mgmt., Martin Wulff Søndergaard

Primary task and responsibilities include:


  • Setting up and mobilizing the Ops S&T team to deliver on bec’s strategic priorities in the coming years
  • Ensure successful delivery of some of bec’s most critical strategic initiatives incl. the simplification program
  • Set up O&M Office to improve transparency and standardized reporting
  • Drive key transformational topics through cross-functional collaboration with leaders across bec
  • Define and implement an operating model to secure best-practice partnership mgmt. for bec’s key outsourcing partners
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders (e.g. Senior Leadership Team) to align and anchor cross-organizational deliveries

  • Ensure professional development of your team members’ toolbox to support personal growth of your future team
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on further increasing operational maturity

To succeed you will have:


  • Profound experience with IT operations & maintenance
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with senior management teams
  • First-hand experience within managing vendors and complex partnership structures
  • Ability to drive wide behavior change across large organization in absence of direct reporting lines
  • An understanding of the consequences of delivering in a community setting and an ability to navigate and thrive in this environment.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with leading teams in a complex set-up
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

It’s nice-to-have:


  • Experience from a larger, complex organization
  • Experience from the financial or other highly regulated sector is a plus
