Through several years of business, the company has built and expanded a world-wide network of reliable suppliers. Currently, Tomex is looking for an experienced team member, who will focus on the procurement of pork and poultry from Canada. Your responsibilities will include:
Procurement and daily communication with the Canadian pork and poultry slaughterhouses
Reach out to potential suppliers
Screening of suppliers regarding quantity and price
Follow-up on offers sent and gather market feedback in collaboration with the sales departments
Follow-up on orders
Claim handling
Various administrative tasks
To achieve success in the role, you have substantial experience from a similar role, such as a Senior Buyer, Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, etc. You also have strong negotiation skills as well as the ability to build lasting supplier relationships. It is a requirement that you are experienced in both pork and poultry procurement, and you therefore have good knowledge of and connection with the Canadian slaughterhouses. You are proficient in English in both written and spoken communication, and it is an advantage if you speak French or Spanish as well. You reside in Canada or the US.You are an outgoing person, who excels at building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners. Your excellent communication skills and your problem-solving attitude help you to effectively convey requirements, discuss terms, and build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
