Summary:

We are looking to strengthen our Europe Branded Team with a strong commercial marketeer to drive and develop the brand portfolio for one of the biggest profit pools in the Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Your primary focus will be to drive the strategic & commercial agenda for the Smoking Tobacco portfolio.

You will be reporting directly to Senior Brand Manager for our Smoking Tobacco categories, and you will be joining a diverse and international team in an inclusive working environment providing a great opportunity to grow within the role and as a person. You will be based in Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s Head Office in Gentofte, Denmark and should expect to travel as part of the job.

What you can expect in, as an International Brand Manager at STG:

You will drive the 3-year planning process with a focus on building strong plans and initiatives that will deliver sustainable profit growth across the portfolio. This entails driving strong portfolio management and brand-focused business development initiatives across markets with a focus on simplifying the brand portfolio and building stronger strategic brands. Also, you will be partnering with the supply chain to develop concrete initiatives with markets and our commercial excellence team to drive strong execution.

In other words, you will have an opportunity to play a central part in the further development and simplification of the Smoking Tobacco portfolio.

Also, as our International Brand Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving the strategic and commercial business agenda for the brand portfolio through brand-cantered business development and portfolio management in support of our markets

  • Continuously securing relevance and meaning of the Smoking Tobacco category and driving winning brand experience (Smoking, Format and Activation) that brings positioning to life while ensuring STG brands are recognized and easy to buy


  • Developing and executing simplification and innovation opportunities across the portfolio to drive sustainable profit growth in strong collaboration with supply chain, markets, and commercial excellence

  • Handling the daily business with both internal (markets, procurement, supply chain, etc.) and external (design, packaging, etc.) partners

  • Managing the portfolio and individual brand budgets.


Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):

You already have shown strong results within FMCG marketing/brand management and have a proven successful track record from a similar position. You possess an international mindset, but you can quickly adopt the local best practices as well.

The desire to work with international categories and brands is essential to success.

  • Think value creation to drive the pricing agenda

  • Optimize and simplify portfolio in the declining segments

  • Enable markets to outperform the winning segments

  • Strong collaboration across functions with aligned roles & responsibilities


  • Be accountable for your own part and help drive performance in the division

  • Inspiring and assertive, and able to motivate and influence stakeholders across the organization and functions, with a special focus on building a relationship with the supply chain organization

  • Solid business and commercial understanding

  • Experience in analysing and utilizing trends, consumer behaviour and market development

  • Experience with project management Fluent in English, both spoken and written (any other language would be considered as a +)
